Distracted driving leads to auto accidents

Road accident statistics in the United States are shocking. It is reported that an average of 37,000 road users die in auto accidents annually, while 2.35 million people are disabled or injured. Many Californians may be shocked to realize that despite the different campaigns, roads seem to become less safe year after year.  Between 2014 and 2015 there was an increase of 6 percent in auto accidents, while 40,000 people lost their lives on U.S. roads in 2017.

Some of the injuries that happen most often in the workplace

No matter where you work here in California, your job probably comes with certain hazards. State and federal laws require your employer to provide you with a safe workplace. What that means in your industry may vary from other workplaces, but the point remains the same -- your employer has a duty to protect you from harm.

Motorcycle injuries range from road rash to brain injuries

While it may appear easy to ride a motorcycle, the truth of the matter is that it requires a lot more coordination and skill than most people would think. Riding a motorcycle also requires the driver to show constant awareness of the surroundings as well as driving defensively. California bikers who forget these important safety guidelines may find themselves suffering injuries more serious than road rash.

Suing after motorcycle accidents ??? what to do

California is known for its mild climate making it ideal for the use of a motorcycle, moped or scooter, especially to help save on traveling costs to and from work. Despite the benefits of this mode of traveling, one cannot get away from the fact that bikers are more exposed and a lot more vulnerable than people in larger, enclosed vehicles. Reality is that other drivers are often not as vigilant as they need to be. Sadly, motorcycle accidents often lead to serious injuries.

California deputy suffers on-the-job injuries in car accident

While most people are thankful for the work done by law enforcement officers, few may actually spend much time thinking of the risks involved in fulfilling their daily duties. Theoretically anybody can suffer on-the-job injuries, but certain occupations are considered more dangerous than others. One group of high risk workers is law enforcement officers. A recent accident in California highlights the dangers involved for officers on the job.
